 SOLD - Thank you!
Early Victoria sterling silver necklace in a design inspired by Mexico's rich pre-Colombian heritage, very comfortable to wear and though true to the "archaeological" style not overwhelming at all. The carefully hand-crafted links that form it remind me of a similar Margot design but then during those years Taxco was a true melting pot of ideas in which silversmiths reflected off of each other and found inspiration in each other's work. The necklace measures a wearable 16 7/8" long by 5/8" wide and weighs 34.4 grams. It is signed with Victoria's name as well as Eagle 12 assay mark, design number "449" and "TAXCO MEXICO STERLING". It dates in the 1950s and is in excellent vintage condition with fantastic patina, elegant and easy to wear.
