Fabulous pair of vintage Los Castillo weighted copper angel candleholders in a classic Salvador Teran design from the 1950s, I believe. These can be found in brass and silver plate with or without inlaid wings but I love the fantastic patina that the copper has developed over the years in this pair.
Though a set, one of the pieces is slightly bigger than the other - they are after all handwrought works and bound to exhibit small dissimilarities. Their height is 7 3/8" for the taller of the two and 7" for the other and the width of their bases 4 1/4" and just shy of that respectively. The pair's combined weight is 3lb 15oz and it is signed with the taller's name as well as "TAXCO", "HECHO EN MEXICO" and "HANDWROUGHT" on an circular disk applied on the bottom of one angel. The set is in excellent vintage condition with great patina though you can easily give it a shine, if that is the way you would prefer them. There is a very shallow impression in one of the actual candle holders - not offensive and nothing that attracts the eye readily.
