An early Sigi Pineda sterling silver necklace and earrings set as is indicated by its low design number yet already a demi illustrative of his ability to make exceptional jewelry without resorting to fussy, busy design. Elegant in a very confident way this set is perfect no matter what the occasion for wearing it is. The necklace measures a wearable 15" long (total length is 15 3/8") and it is just shy of 3/8" wide (at its widest); earrings are similarly 3/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall. The set's total weight amounts to 48.6 grams (39.5 grams for the necklace and 9.1 grams for the earrings). Fully and appropriately signed as shown, it dates in the mid-1950s and in excellent vintage condition.
