 SOLD - Thank you!
A book piece and one of the most impressive designs in Sigi Pineda's "boomerang" line this bracelet is adorned with a wire-wrapped, polished tiger's eye gem - I have seen it with amethyst and chrysoprase as well as with black onyx and have one of the latter in my inventory presently (just look for item no 1108655 here on Troc!). One of the two big maestros of Mexican modernist design, Sigi loves the way oxidized surfaces stand out against the warm glow of silver and he definitely illustrates in the best possible way here how well this combination can work. The bracelet has an inner circumference of 6 7/8" and its width varies between 1 5/16" in the center front and 1/2" at its narrowest, on the sides. It weighs 59.7 grams and is fully signed with Sigi's name in script above "TASCO" alongside "HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING", des. no 34 and Eagle 3 assay mark. Dating in the 1950s-60s and in excellent vintage condition with its oxidation in great shape as well.
