If angularity is one of the main features in Deco design, then you can see why I think this bracelet by Beto is a quintessentially Deco creation. Deeply hand-chased, the geometry of the links is softened by the curved edges and the roundness of the semi-spheres and amethyst cabs yet even so the predominance of the angle is crystal clear. A gorgeous piece, perfect whether you dress for an official dinner or for a casual evening out, this is one of Beto's best moments. The bracelet measures a wearable 6 7/8" long with a width 1 1/8" (at its widest) and weighs 40.2 grams. Its safety chain, which is a later addition, is rather short as is allowing an additional 1" opening for you to slide it around your wrist but if this is a problem, it can easily be replaced with a longer one or taken off completely. Signed with maker's name as well as "TAXCO GRO 925", the bracelet dates in the pre-1948 period and is in excellent vintage condition with very good patina and no flaws noted.
