Just WOW! I don't usually resort to exclamations of this kind yet I believe the Margot necklace I am presenting here deserves it more than anything else. I was stunned when I first held it in my hands - its beauty, the sculpturality of its links, the fantastic patina, the weight and the rarity of the design all combine to make a true collector's dream materialize. I will leave the assessment to you - just enjoy the photos. And as you can see, its matching bracelet is also available... The necklace has a total length of 25 1/4" with the bib part being 12 1/2" long. It has two hook clasps (one on either length of chain beyond the articulated "charm" links) and can be adjusted to be worn longer or shorter. The length of the "charms" varies between 3" at center front and 7/8" for the smaller, single ones. Registering a weight of 265.0 grams, the necklace is marked with Margot's name as well as des. no 5594 alongside Eagle 16 and I would say it dates in the 1950s. In excellent vintage condition and - did I say? - drop dead gorgeous.
