Vintage Taxco silver bib necklace, this is a cascade of brushed sterling beads that looks and wears fabulously. I love Mexican brushed bead jewelry - they put such a mod spin on the classic "pearl" necklace and they are so much fun to wear. Like this piece - elegant and so contemporary its neck-ring has an inner circumference of 15" (clasped) while the bib part is approx. 4 1/2" wide with a drop of 3 3/4" at center front. Weighing 55.0 grams (on a postal scale) it is signed with maker's name yet badly stamped and partial as shown as well as "MEXICO ... 925" and Eagle 42 assay mark. Dating in the 1950s-60s and in excellent vintage condition.
