Mexican Deco is inadvertently related to Abraham Paz's designs, many of which, like the bracelet at hand, were made for Fred Davis. Here the austerity of the geometric "shield" links is tempered by the curvaceous floral "rondelles" with their amethyst cabochons set in channels around a central stone. The cabs are richly colored, with inclusions that make Mexican amethyst so interesting visually and the bracelet wears comfortably, naturally conforming to the wrist's every move. Measuring approx. 7 1/4" long (wearable) it is 1" wide and weighs 42.0 grams. It is signed with Davis's initials as shown as well as "SILVER MEXICO" and dates in the 1920s-30s. In excellent vintage condition with yummy, beautifully colored amethyst cabs, very slick in a classic Deco way, and with no problems noted.
