One of my favorite female designers and silversmiths - and there aren't many we know about - Carmen Beckmann created jewelry that unfailingly present themselves as a welcome surprise to the senses. The bold dome of the ring at hand, profusely adorned with repousse beads, silver wirework and Etruscan style florets is simply magnificent. It is a sz 7 (yet easily resizable) with the dome being approx. 1" in diameter and rising 5/8" off the finger when the ring is worn. The substantial band is 5/15" wide and the piece weighs 18.9 grams. Fully signed with
maker's signature as shown as well as "STERLING" and "MEXICO" it dates in the 1960s-70s. In
excellent vintage condition with bold, powerful presence, wonderful patina and no repairs noted - a treat to the eyes and a dream to wear.
Be bold yourself and try it on your index finger...
