An early design by the Los Castillo taller, the fish skeleton is considered a classic and has seen many emulations and reproductions over the years. The hinged bracelet at hand, wrought out of thick silver sheet with copper bead accents, is a modernist treasure that was made for small wrists. Ideal for all of us who love vintage Mexican clampers but can never enjoy them because they are usually too big, the bracelet has a 5 3/4" inner circumference with its width varying between 1 7/8" (at the front) and 3/8" (at its narrowest, on the side) and it weighs 62.5 grams. It is fully marked with maker's signature as shown alongside Eagle 15 assay mark and des. no 114, dates in the 1950s-60s and is in excellent vintage conditon with great patina, a strong, snappy hinge, with good heft and in a very slick, mod design.
