Magnificent and very rare to come upon Sigi Pineda necklace boasting a big modernist pendant with two flat-cut sheen obsidian cabs hanging off the most slick, most minimalist neck ring. This is Sigi in one of his most inspired moments and I am thrilled to be offering it here. The stones are perfect, revealing their golden depths as the light hits them, and the set has acquired a wonderful glow over the years. The neckring has an inner circumference of 14 1/2” as it is (including the gap) but it wears more like a 15” at least (it is slightly adjustable too, should one need to open it up more). The pendant itself is just above 4” long by just shy of 2 3/4” wide and the necklace's total weight is 50.9 grams. Both pieces are fully signed with Sigi's name as shown with the neck ring also bearing Eagle 35 assay mark and des. no 915 while the pendant has des. no 2 and an Eagle stamp as well. In excellent vintage condition with no problems nor any repairs, a stunning example of Taxco modernism and Sigi's design genius.
