Classy and timelessly elegant, this vintage Deco Mexican silver bracelet brings to mind early Margot de Taxco designs and even though not signed for maker, its quality bespeaks the anonymous maestro's mastery over his art. Embellished with graduated in size beading and small cut-outs that lighten the big,heart-shaped motif in the front, it is also adorned with a big, faceted amethyst that is set open-backed to maximize the effect of light. The bracelet has an inner circumference of 6 3/4" (clasped) and its width varies between 1 5/8" and 5/8". It weighs 84.3 grams and is simply marked "STERLING 925" and "HECHO EN MEXICO", which dates it in the pre-1948 period. In excellent vintage condition, very well made, with great patina and a very beautiful stone.
