 SOLD - Thank you!
Classically elegant Carmen Beckmann silver bead necklace, this Mexican sterling piece from the 1960s combines two sizes of repousse beads. The smaller ones are smooth and glow with warm patina while the bigger are dark with oxidation and embellished with swirls of sterling wirework. I am very partial to bead necklaces of this kind and the specific choker by Beckmann is an integral part of my jewelry box as well. The necklace has a wearable length of 16 3/8" (total length is 16 5/8") and the diameter of the big beads is 9/16". It weighs 67.7 grams and is signed with Beckmann's name as shown as well as "STERLING MEXICO". It dates in the 1960s and is in very good vintage condition with patina to die for, a dream to wear, with no damage or repairs except for a couple of very faint impressions in the smaller beads - not readily noticeable nor visually offensive.
