Vintage "less-is-more" Sigi Pineda Mexican modernist bracelet executed in sterling silver in a design that glorifies the power of geometry. Sigi is probably one of the most prolific designers in Taxco's "golden age" and a staunch proponent of modernist aesthetics. And even though he experimented with various materials and techniques, in our case he opted for simplicity and clear, strong lines. The bracelet has an inner circumference of 6 3/4"(clasped) and its width varies between 3/4" (at center front) and just shy of 3/8" (next to the clasp). It weighs 55.2 grams and is fully and appropriately signed with maker's signature as shown, "STERLING" "HECHO EN MEXICO", Eagle 36 assay mark and des. no 427. It dates in the 1950s-60s and is in excellent vintage condition, visually strong in its clear, jagged geometry, with good patina and no damage or repairs noted A timelessly attractive Sigi bracelet... Condition: excellent vintage, visually strong in its clear, jagged geometry, with good patina and no damage or repairs noted
