Towering Antonio Pineda silver and big moonstone cabochon ring wrought in his favorite – signature, I should say – .970 alloy which is higher in precious metal content than the standard sterling. What’s not to love about this beauty? Look at the raised crown setting and the ornamentation on the shoulders. Though it’s not an overwhelmingly big ring, it has a lift that catches the eye and the mystical semi-translucence of the moonstone bewitches and mesmerizes. Currently a sz 5.75 (can be resized but your jeweler will have to add to the shank on both sides since the hallmarks are right across the back of the stone) it has a face that is 3/4″ by 1/2″. The ring rises approx. 11/16″ off finger when worn and it weighs 7.6 grams. It is signed with Antonio’s crown, “970” and Eagle 208 assay mark. It dates in the 1950s-60s and is in excellent vintage condition with great patina, a silky, gorgeous stone and no damage or repairs noted.
