A beautifully made Italian Deco 800 silver pendant necklace in the style associated with the Peruzzi and Coppini Bros, this is an anonymous beauty yet its high quality and very good finishing attest to its makers prowess in the art of jewelry making. The long, ornate chain is made up of alternating floral and fleur-de-lis links that are interrupted by faceted black glass beads. The same beads dangle off the crisply cast pendant with the face of the North Wind (sometimes also called the Green Man) surrounded by beading and unfurling stylized leaves and feather motifs. Attached to the chain with a big spring ring, it is easy to disconnect and enjoy the chain alone or pair it with another pendant of the same genre. Measuring 31 1/2" long by 3/8" wide (width of the fleur-de-lis links)the chain is attached to a 4 1/4" long pendant that is 2" wide and adds a 4 1/2" drop to it. The set weighs 53.0 grams and is simply marked "800" on the pendant. It dates in the 1930s-40s and is in excellent vintage condition with great detail in the casting, careful, clean finishing, very nice patina and generous length. It is very difficult to find these pendants with their original chain and this duo is superb.
