Generous in size and carefully made with a nice selection of blue turquoise cabochons, this 1980s Mexican silver bracelet is obviously based on Matilde Poulat's original designs. It is signed by a maker who was active in the pre-1980 period as well and whose quality Matl-style jewelry I am always on the look out. Adorned with scrolling textured wire-work and beading the oblong links hold three channel-set turquoise each and their oxidation makes the blues in the stones pop. The bracelet measures 8 1/4" long (wearable) by 1 3/4" wide and weighs 74.6 grams. It is hallmarked with maker's registration code "MR-39" as well as "MEXICO 925" and dates in the 1980s. It is in excellent vintage condition with very good finishing and attention to detail, great color variation in the turquoise cabs that are all there and securely set in their channels, having fantastic patina, with no damage and no repairs noted.
