Copying an original mid-century design by Antonio Pineda, this heavy yet so flexible necklace was made in Taxco in the 1980s and its quality and attention to detail make it a great alternative to the maestro's pricey originals. Graduated in size concave links with pointed ends on one side are connected to each other in a way that allows the necklace to lie perfectly around the neck and feel as if it's part of your body. A great addition to any discerning well-dresser's jewelry box, it measures 16" long (wearable)and its width varies between 1 1/4" at center front and 5/8" at its narrowest, near the clasp. It weighs 139.4 grams
and is marked "MEXICO 925" and also bears maker's registration code as shown. The necklace dates in the 1980s and is in excellent vintage, luscious and rich, with good patina and no damage or repairs noted.
