An absolutely stunning table-cut citrine adorns this massive Carmen Beckmann Mexican silver ring. The gem, its color traveling from refreshing lemon to saturated yellow as the light changes, is lifted above the finger in a terraced setting with geometric cut-outs. Though this design was created in the 1960s-70s ( I was fortunate enough to have sold an example from that period a while ago), the piece at hand dates in the 1980s yet the quality of materials and exquisite design Beckmann jewelry is sought after for has not been compromised by the passing of time. Currently a sz 7 1/2 US (resizable by your jeweler) the ring has a face measuring 1 3/16” N-S and 5/8” E-W with a rise of approx. 1/2". It weighs 12.3 grams and is marked with maker’s signature as shown as well as “MEXICO STERLING” , “925” and reg. code “DB-01”. It dates in the 1980s and is in excellent vintage condition with a gorgeous gemstone, great architectural presence, with nice patina and no damage or repairs noted.
