A classic Mexican Deco design the "caviar" can be found in all forms, in all gauges of sterling, with or without stones, signed by as famous a name as Spratling or simply anonymous like the sweet version of it I am presenting here. There is a heart-warming sense of intimacy about "caviar" jewelry. Is it perhaps their particular articulation that makes necklaces and bracelets so willingly pliable, they feel as if extensions of one's body? Is it the predominance of the beguiling, all-embracing curve? Whatever the case, there is no denying that this is one of the sexiest (please, excuse and allow me the use of the word here) necklaces ever designed. Measuring 15 1/2" long (wearable) by 1/2" wide it weighs 42.9 grams and is simply marked "SILVER MEXICO". It dates in the pre-1948 period and is in excellent vintage condition, easy to enjoy every day, with beautiful patina (too dark when it came to me so you might want to polish a little more), with no damage and no repairs noted.
