This piece of glass is a precursor to the Kosta sunflower.
It was one of the first. Signed on the bottom.
This second listing has a more even molded look bottom . Slightly later than the first one I listed but still a precursor to the mass produced of the 1980's, This is hand blown with bubbles, heavier and a studio piece. We purchased a lot in Scandinavia in 1970. By the time Warff did this one you see a waviness to the glass in the base, stem . Signed by Warff.
Goran Warff (1933-) is one of the famous Kosta artists of the 1960's.
His work is in the Swedish design museum.
This piece is hand blown done in the 1970's.
This piece is more valuable than the 1980's sunflowers.
This might have been purchased in 1970 in Sweden( on a trip).
This is much higher quality than the mass produced sunflowers by Warff in the 1980's.
