A Japanese export porcelain wine ewer. This vessel is of European form with underglaze blue decoration in Chinese late Ming style, probably copied, second-hand as it were, from a Dutch Delft wine ewer.

Approximately 20.8 cm high. Perfect condition. There is a firing fault within the foot-rim.
