Born in Port-au-Prince,Haiti in 1943, Jacques Prosper Lafontant trained at Academie des Beaux Arts. He actually began painting at age eight, and was exhibited at the 1958 Mexico City exposition. Recognized by art critics world wide, his work often features the "essence of women", and is seldom offered for sale.
