These two snuff bottles are Peking glass, created to look like gemstone, one jade, one agate. Both measure 2 3/4" high and have stoppers, but no spoon attached. (The darker stopper may be stone, as it has considerable inclusions and is heavy). Both are well done, and give the appearance of stone. The "jade" bottle has a very soft sheen, similar to what actual jade would look like, and has a small foot. Both in good condition, the jade one with a slight chip on the lip...

With a very dark patina, this bronze Buddha head is from Thailand, and appears to be 19th century, possibly earlier. Measuring 4 1/2", it sits on its own, but would benefit from a mount. Some glue residue is evident on the bottom, probably from a previous mount.

Measuring 10" high, and 13" at the widest point on the flared lip, this unusual Oribe vessel is likely a hibachi. The slip is of a creamy color, over stoneware, and there are applied motifs in iron oxide on the slip...

With engraved designs of bats and other symbols, the surface of this box is stipled over most of the surface and has applied corners, medallions, and a central rectangular leaf design in silver. Lovely form, this bronze koro sits upon three canted feet, with leaves on both ends attached to stems that form curved ends over the body. The lid is another leaf shape, with the stem as handle. The koro measures 6 1/4" x approximately 4 1/2" and is unsigned. The patina is a nice rich brown, lighter where handled on the body, and has no cracks or dents, just slight marks from usage. Like so much of fine Japanese metal work, the koro is elegant and aesthetic in its refined simplicity.
