Of stamped silver, with handmade chains and other small pendants, this Chinese silver piece would make a lovely necklace, and is a traditional item in Chinese culture. The top piece features a group of immortals around a plaque with Chinese calligraphy, with five chains below, each with a piece of fruit, including the hand of buddha and citrus. Dating to the 19th century, this silver and bone baby rattle has attached silver bells, a whistle at one end, and a bone handle on the other end. Of Chinese export silver, it has a hallmark near the handle, what appears to be *SM in a rectangular cartouche. The first figure is worn, unable to see, but may have been a lion's head, as was utilized in Great Britain and many colonies (the mark is shown in the fourth photo, where the rattle is upright with the handle at the top)...

Measuring 10 1/4" x 7 3/4", this platter dates to the 18th century, Qainlong period (1736-1796). It is a slightly smaller size than many platters, and this size is referred to as a meat platter. The body of the piece is porcelain and the background glaze is an off white, with a greenish gray hue, which is typical of Qainlong wares. The enamel decoration, in floral elements, is rose, orange, yellow, green and brown, and is finely painted. There is gilt highlighting on some of the flowers...

Measuring 10 1/2" high, this carving depicts the traditional figure of Shou Lao, representing Longevity. Of a dense reddish tone hardwood, possibly rosewood, the figure is well carved with much detail. Shou Lao carries the branch or staff, along with a cluster of peaches, and is accompanied by a crane and a young child. The surface is dark brown, with reddish tones, and has a nice soft and lustrous patina. Good condition, very minor and tiny chips to wood.

These two snuff bottles are Peking glass, created to look like gemstone, one jade, one agate. Both measure 2 3/4" high and have stoppers, but no spoon attached. (The darker stopper may be stone, as it has considerable inclusions and is heavy). Both are well done, and give the appearance of stone. The "jade" bottle has a very soft sheen, similar to what actual jade would look like, and has a small foot. Both in good condition, the jade one with a slight chip on the lip...

A large and impressive censer, this bronze and cloisonne measures 24" high, approximately 14" wide, and is heavy weight bronze. The finial on the lid has a foo dog or lion, and the base has three mythical beasts as supports for the body of the censer. The two handles are stylized foo lions also. The cloisonne is multi colored, with a base tone of turquoise, with geometric designs in the background...

With engraved designs of bats and other symbols, the surface of this box is stipled over most of the surface and has applied corners, medallions, and a central rectangular leaf design in silver. The interior is wood lined, and the lid fits snugly, so it was likely a humidor or cigar case. It is nice heavy weight, and measures 11/3/4" x 6 5/8" x 2 1/2", with a simple latch closure...

Measuring 6 3/4" in diameter and just a tad under 3" deep, this Chinese Export bowl is nicely decorated with an overglaze blue band of triangles forming a diamond with a rose in each one. Additional roses adorn the sides and center, and the rim has a brownish yellow lip, with a red line below the rim on the interior. The glazed body has a green- blue tint, and there are small firing pits over the surface, as are typical of porcelain of the era...
