Cast in heavy sterling, and set with a triangular piece of black onyx, this ring measures size 6. With both angular and rounded forms, the ring is quite dramatic and artful. It is signed on the interior, but the mark is unclear, and a 925 mark is visible, along with another one, also unclear. Good design, well executed, nice example of mid century jewelry design.

Measuring 15 1/4" long, this sterling and stone mosaic necklace is handcrafted by the Los Ballesteros workshop, which opened in Taxco, Mexico in 1937. Very large in ring size, it goes off the end of my ring sizer, which goes up to size 13. The interior measures just a tad under 1" in diameter, and it is 3/4" high where the stone is set. The stone is green in tone, with some yellow and rust colored inclusions. The shank has a twisted wire in the center, and around the stone and bezel there is also twisted wire and four beads. There is wear to the silver, with some slight scratches and nicks, and the patina is soft and lustrous...

On a silver link chain measuring 27", there are 15 coins (5 kopek) on each side of a central filigree medallion, with an additional smaller coin that is too worn to determine it's identity. The coins are all from the Imperial Russian era, the earliest is 1835, and the latest is 1906, with quite a few in the 1870's to 1890's. The chain is tarnished, but the higher links are visibly shiny.
