Attributed to Merle Edelman, one of the first mid century designers to work in lucite, these two multi layered forms are interesting and complex, and together can form a wonderful variety of color and shapes. The cube is not quite a cube, measuring 2" x 2 3/8" and is a combination of green, orange and clear lucite, with a central notched design. The rectangle is 4 1/8" x 2 3/8" x 1 3/4" and the colors include red, orange, blue, green, and clear, with the same notched center design...

In triangular form, this lucite sculpture was designed by Merle Edelman, known for mid century design in lucite, with works made by E.G. Design in Canada. It measures just a tad under 4" high, is 3 1/4" wide, and the two front sections of the triangle are 2 1/4". The front and side edges are slightly rounded, while the top and bottom edges are sharp. In good condition, with minor wear, and a slight rubbed spot on the front, just to the left of the center angle, below the eyes...

One of several sizes and designs for boxes and desk related objects, this iconic Belt Buckle motif was created by Maria Pergay (1930-)and is signed and dated 1959. The box measures 5" x 3 1/8" x 1 1/4" and is heavy gauge brass with silver plate finish.
