$135 priced reduced to $95 for three drawings.
By Joshua Thomas Tubby, American artist and architect, these three drawings depict rural landscapes near Portland, Maine, where the artist lived. The seascape shows Casco Bay in the Background, and is charcoal on rough paper, measuring 8 3/4" by 11 1/4". The hill scene measures 8 5/8" by 11 1/8" and is the only one signed; it appears to be black conte crayon on heavy light tan paper. The barn and pond scene is also on tan paper, with graphite pencil and measures 7 3/4" by 8 3/8". J.T. Tubby was primarily an architect, but became known for his sketches of Maine, from seascapes, to rural landscapes and shipyards. His works are in private collections and museums, and in the National Trust Collection. The price listed is for all three works.
