A rare form, and with exquisite guilloche enamel work, this Swiss made clock by Eterna is sterling silver with vermeil finish. The case measures 6 1/2", not including stem and hanging loop (7 1/2") and is 2 3/4" wide. Of very heavy silver, with a twisted ribbon design around the sides, the front is beautifully decorated with soft blue enamel, engine turning designs, and bouquets of pink roses, daisies, other blossoms and leaves. Thin white and black edging further enhances the delicacy and fineness of the design. It has a series of stamps across the back: 57087 HASE Geneve Swiss (standing bear mark) .935 The clock works are marked Eterna W co., with the number 2406545 and it is 15 jewels. The condition of the silver and enamel is excellent, with no cracks or damage, but the clock is not working, and we do not know what repairs are needed. This is an exceptionally beautiful example of fine guilloche enamel and silverwork in a form that is appealing and unusual.
