This seated figure, a Lohan or Scholar, is very nicely modeled, with good detail and form. It measures 3 3/8" high x 2 5/8" wide and is covered in a soft turquoise colored glaze, which is translucent, and varied in intensity of color, being deeper colored where the glaze has pooled. there are very tiny dark spots apparent in the glaze, some more visible on back and shoulders. There is a chip on the base, just below the hands, on the bottom of the flowing robe and at the edge of the form.
It dates to the late Qing, early 19th or late 18th century.
