This nicely beaded pouch is comprised of natural muslin or linen, black velvet, and red trade cloth, with beads of various colors covering much of the cloth with a rich floral design. Red ribbons are attached as a handle and additional adornment, with sequins and larger white and clear beads adding another element of design. In very good condition, with minor losses to beadwork, some wear to fabric and ribbon, the pouch is relatively unfaded and intact. The pouch measures 6 5/8" x 6". Beaded pouches like this are typical of Woodlands Native American tribes, with Iroquois being the primary contributor to such fine artifacts.
