10 Dinner plates by Black Knight porcelain company, Selb Bavaria, Germany. The pattern number is BLK 37 and depicts floral swags between a framed cartouche with floral bouquet. A wide gold band is between the center and the border design, and a thinner gold band covers the rim. They each measure 10 7/8" and the lot weighs 18 pounds before packing. Black Knight was the name given to dinner ware made by Hutschenreuther of Bavaria between 1925-1941. Condition is very good, with some minor wear to some of the gold bands, and one slight chip on the underside of the rim of one of the plates (all visible in photos). Lovely design, with rich gilding, these plates are nice examples of the excellent porcelain made in the region, and Black Knight is well known for its high quality. Price is for all 10 plates.
