Gold over red painted or lacquered wood frame 11 5/8" x 9 3/8" Stone image 8 3/8" x 6 1/4" Frame roughly 1 1/4" deep. In original gilded wood frame, with label on back from seller, with instructions for care. Well crafted mountain landscape with a variety of stone, good color and contrast. Pietra dura is an ancient craft, and has continued in Italy to the present day, and such plaques have been desirable and collectible for centuries. Landscapes are less common, and this one is vibrant and charming. Very good condition, very slight rubs to frame, stone surface is clear and unmarred.
