Travel alarm clock by Le Coultre of Switzerland, in chrome or nickle and brass with square dial.
First designed in the 1930's, this folding clock is an iconic design by this important clock maker.
Measures 3 1/4" x 2 3/8" x 7/8", 5 1/2" when flat.
Case is brass and chrome or nickle, face is white with gold numbers and marks, silver circle in middle of face. Signed 8 Days and Swiss on face.
Back is signed with LeCoultre name and Swiss, along with number 46/1 and notations around winding and setting pegs.
8 day movement, a finer clock than the 2 day version.
Keeps time, and alarm seems to work fine.
In very good condition, some wear to brass and some scratches to surface. Note: it loses a few minutes every day so needs either an adjustment or cleaning.
An elegant and classic little clock, from a company known for exceptional clocks and watches. Jaeger-LeCoutre was founded in 1833 and continues to this day to create the finest time keeping implements. Their production of parts for clocks and watches was of such high quality that both Cartier and Patek Philippe had contracts with them to produce parts for their products.
A little gem, this is the perfect gift for a sophisticated taste.
