Lovely old hooked rug, still strong colors, with Welcome sign amidst red, blue, black, and white flowers, green foliage, a tweed background with black borders, early 20th century.
Measures 34 12" wide, 22 1/2" high.
Flowers all done with nice variety of color each one with shading and variety of tones, some outlining for contrast.
Base is burlap, hooking materials appear to be cotton and/or wool in wide variety of color.
Condition is good, shows wear and some losses to edge (see last photo for unraveling at upper corner, black piece still attached). The back is brighter in color, may be due to some fading or just being dirty. We have not attempted to clean it in any way. No odors present. Due to usage and wear, is sold as is.
