Bronze and slag glass inkwell in Grapevine pattern by Tiffany Studios, New York, creamy color glass with brown/peachy tone lines, ca 1900, original glass liner. Measures 4' square and 3 5/8" high. This grapevine design was made with two different colors of slag glass, and the finish was made to compliment the glass, the green having some green verdigris in the bronze, and this color with a honey color patina in the bronze. This is part of a larger desk set by Tiffany Studios, all from the period of 1890 to 1900. Stamped "Tiffany Studios New York 844". Condition is good, with some wear to the patina, visible in photos, but much of the patina is still intact. The glass insert is intact. There are two hairline cracks in one of the sides, very hard to see (the bronze covers most of it), more visible from inside. Sold as is, priced accordingly.
