This pretty pin combines the styles of Art Nouveau and Edwardian jewelry. We are attributing it to Whiteside & Blank, although it’s unsigned (not unusual for the time), since it’s remarkably similar to another piece by them. This unusual enameled sterling pendant comes out of the Arts & Crafts movement, roughly 1880-1920 (it can be argued that it still continues!) The enamel colors are associated with the women’s suffrage movement in the UK: green (Give), white (Women the), and violet (Vote) – or at least, that’s the story! This beautiful pair of scarab design cufflinks is marked for Unger Bros, a well-known turn-of-the-century American jewelry maker. Each beetle or scarab is 1/2" by 13/16". They are made of sterling silver. Circa 1900-1905.

This one piece sterling silver buckle would be stunning on a black velvet sash! It was made by Unger Bros in the early 20th century. The ornamental design is a classic scroll and acanthus. The buckle is 4 1/4" x 2 1/2". Marks are 925 (sterling) and the Unger Bros markIt is in excellent condition.

This pretty pin is in the style of Murrle, Bennett and Archibald Knox. The design is that of a heart interlaced with a navette-shaped frame (this interlace-type motif is also called “entrelac”). It is centered by an oval turquoise, and has a safety chain – always useful! Unsigned, and marked 9ct. It measures 1-1/2 x 3/4", and weighs 2.6g. This elegant pin was made by the very collectible Bippart, Griscomb & Osborn Co. of Newark, NJ (an important hub of Art Nouveau jewelry making c. 1900). It is centered by a turquoise cab, with two freshwater pearls on each side (4 in total), framed by a twisted ribbon of 14kt gold. This pretty ring is composed of a cluster of 7 amethysts, birthstone for February (and in legend, thought to guard against poison and drunkenness) and on either side of the cluster, a bezel-set accent diamond and one tiny half seed pearl. The Charles Horner company of Halifax was renowned for beautiful silver and enamel Arts & Crafts jewelry. This moth pin is sterling silver with blue and turquoise enamel and is 1 3/4" wide. It is fully hallmarked, for Chester, England, 1908, and carries the Charles Horner maker's mark.

This beautiful unsigned ring has been attributed to Bernard Instone, one of the well-known Arts & Crafts era jewelers, who frequently didn’t sign his pieces. He often used leaves-as-prongs for setting stones, and as was often the way in the A&C movement, he didn’t use costly stones nor gold, so he could keep his prices affordable. This ring is made from sterling silver and set with a blue-green “Swiss lapis” (dyed quartz) which measures approximately 3/4” x 9/16”. It is about size 5...

This striking stick pin was made in the shape of an arrow head. It features a sparkly cognac-colored diamond of approximately 10 points (a tenth of a carat), but it looks bigger. Above and below the diamond are 2 lovely (cultured?) champagne-colored pearls. It weighs 2.3g and is of unmarked but tested 14k yellow gold, which has been hammered to enhance the “arrow head” look – a great reminder that the Arts and Crafts era overlapped the era of the Wild West! Charles Horner was a major maker of Arts & Craft enamel pieces. This necklace is simple, with its shaded green and blue enamel and pleasingly elegant sterling silver frame. It is signed Charles Horner and is on a 14" chain. The hallmarks indicate it is sterling and was made in Chester in 1912-3. The enamel pendant is 3/4 X 1".

This lovely Art Nouveau lavaliere is unusual with its square lines at the top, making it both charmingly antique and very modern in appearance. It is made of 9 ct gold and is set with amethysts [the smaller stones] and a garnet/glass doublet. ] The pendant is 2" x 1", and is on a 16" 14 k gold chain [modern]. The pendant itself is circa 1900.

This is a classic “cigar band” ring from around the turn of the last century, and moving into the Edwardian era, often called a “gypsy” ring, made from richly-colored 18kt yellow gold. This antique serving spoon from the Georgian era has a berry motif in the gold-washed interior of the bowl (the wash is very pale and doesn’t show up in the photos). By its hallmarks, it was made in London during 1768-1769. The maker’s mark is a script “BB”. It measures 8-1/2" x 1-3/4", and weighs approximately 56g. So beautiful! This lovely sky-blue enameled pendant tests as silver, probably sterling. It has two shades of light blue enamel on the front, highlighted by flourishes in silver. The dropper is also enameled in shaded hues of blue. The enamel continues on the back in sky blue – such wonderful attention to detail! Excluding the bale, it is 1-1/2” long by just under ¾” across. There are two tiny areas of enamel damage on the back, and a few areas that could use some cleaning, but basically it is in excell...

These are very unusual! We have only seen one other pair with photos, and those were not gold. Each cuff link features a photograph of an elegant lady in a high-necked blouse with upswept hair. This pair was clearly worn a lot, based on the patina, but they still look great. The 10k marks are on the back of the fronts only, not on the “torpedo” ends.
