The clasp is gold filled or 9k, the gold paperclip chain tests as 10k, but the round beads are hard to test beyond confirming that they are gold. Here is a pair of identical rich yellow gold pins. They would be an excellent addition to your collection of Victorian jewelry! Measuring 1-1/4” x 1/4”, they say “BEBE” on the front. They test as 9k, weigh 3.0 g, and the findings are signed “VID”. There are tiny flowers and other floral designs at the edges. It looks like the safety-pin findings are old replacements. An elegant queen graces the front of this antique locket. She wears a crown with a row of 7 tiny single-cut diamonds, and one slightly larger full-cut diamond at the top of the crown. Her hair cascades down to her shoulder, and gold disks hang from the crown. There is a little dent at about cheek bone height. The back has a monogram, possibly an S, and has several little dents, which are exaggerated in the photos. The rose gold (very hard to photograph the color accurately) tests at about 12k. I...

This elegant band, with a continuous wheat sheaf pattern (wheat signifies love and charity), comes out of the turn of the last century, according to jewelry historian Christie Romero (RIP). She also told us it was probably made using a process called “die rolling.” It is marked “22ct”, “PLATINUM” (the platinum is under the gold, as you can see in the photos), and the maker’s mark is “B’s”. It is size 5-1/4 plus a little, and it cannot be sized. 5.6 grams. It is in excellent ...
