This handsome fellow’s head measures 5/8 x 11/16". He is made from 14kt yellow gold (there are illegible marks, so we tested it). The red eye is too small to identify, so assume glass. It weighs 1.4g and is in excellent condition. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included. We do lay-away.

Here is an intriguing pair of pins from the Art Nouveau era. They feature a woman’s face flanked by flowers and their hair is greenish! I have been unable to determine what the metal is, so assume it’s not precious. They measure 1-1/4” x 1/2”. The pin stem assemblies are old, but they may be replacements. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

Here is a striking Jugendstil (Germany’s Arts & Crafts era) pendant which is enameled in white and purple. It is made from 900 silver (sterling is 925), and centered by a lovely oval amethyst which is flanked above and below by tiny seed pearls. There is a pearl dangle (which we added, as the original was missing) below an arc of milgrained metal. It measures 1-1/2” x 7/8” and weighs 4.7g. In overall excellent condition, there is an area on the lower left side where the enamel isn’t quit...

Here is a pair of very unusual cuff links! We have only seen one other pair with photos. Each cuff link has a photograph of an elegant lady in a white high-necked blouse with upswept hair. These were clearly worn a lot, based on the patina, but they still look great. The 10k marks are on the back of the fronts only, not on the “torpedo” ends, and we don’t like to test torpedoes, so can’t promise that they are also 10k, but they certainly look it. The fronts measure 7/8” x 5/8”, the t...

Here is a pair of identical rich yellow gold pins. They would be an excellent addition to your collection of Victorian jewelry! Measuring 1-1/4” x 1/4”, they say “BEBE” on the front. They test as 9k, weigh 3.0 g, and the findings are signed “VID”. There are tiny flowers and other floral designs at the edges. It looks like the safety-pin findings are old replacements. One of them has 2 brownish stains on the back, otherwise they are in excellent condition. The photos are part of the d...

Here is a very pretty pin featuring an oval purple cabochon, possibly glass, possibly amethyst (it’s hard to get a reading on this stone), centered between two hammered silver leaves (very A&C), all on a very Art Nouveau framework. Marked “DEPOS” (probably meant to say “DEPOSE”, which translates roughly as “patented”), it is probably from Germany. There are two illegible marks, one on the C-clasp, and one on the back. It tests as silver, measures 1-3/4” x 3/4", and weighs 4.4 g....

Here is a pretty young girl shown in profile, with flowers in her hair. She is mounted in marked and tested 18k gold. There is a golden wreath of foliage, fastened with a ribbon, gracefully draped across the lower part of the cameo. The pin stem assembly has a trombone catch. The bale folds down when worn as a brooch. It measures 2-1/4 x 1-7/8", and is in excellent condition. We believe it was made using the ultrasonic method of carving. The photos are part of the description; please examine ca...

Circa 1900 and in excellent condition. The photos are part of the description so please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

This pin is 14k gold and holds a coral branch. It is Victorian in age and has maker's mark, BML. The pin is 2" X 1/2". Circa 1860. Coral has been used in jewelry for thousands of years. It has been called Sea Garden because of its resemblance to a plant. Coral is used as protection from negativity and evil, and to dispel feelings of inner weakness.

Here is a beautiful ring in rose gold which tests as 18k. The center stone is a ruby cut in an older style, but in excellent condition. (It’s possible that it’s a replacement stone.) It is surrounded by 8 rose cut and more randomly-cut diamonds which are definitely original, and which might be foiled, but in any case are in a closed-back setting. Typically for the period, a couple of them are chipped or have feathers (inclusions). It is unmarked and has a nice patina. The ring is a size 8-1...

Antique plique a jour (translucent enamel) jewels are hard to come by these days – they are somewhat fragile, rare, and we believe that many of them are now in private collections. This lovely maple leaf pin is highlighted with paste accent stones along the main veins. The green plique is a very nice rich color. It seems to be missing one leaf. However, someone filled the space with a pretty drop made of green agate, so the loss is hardly noticeable. It is centered by a faux pearl. The plique ...

These lovely earrings have nice long dangles – the entire earring measures 1-3/4 long, and the dangle is 1-5/16”. They measure just under 1/2” at the widest point. The dangles have a charming bird and flower motif. They are black enamel and gold plate. I have been told that earrings like this pair were made during the Victorian era in Portugal and Spain, and that they are still being made in those countries today. These look old to me, but in excellent condition. The photos are part of t...

This beautiful sterling silver case was originally meant for cigarettes but could just as easily hold business cards or ???. It is lavishly engraved with an all-over swirling pattern and bears the initials FC in script. The case is 3 1/4" x 2 3/4". It is hallmarked for Birmingham, England, sterling silver, and 1927-28. The maker's mark is FHA & Co.

Here is a stick pin made in the shape of an arrow head. This gorgeous piece features a sparkly cognac-colored diamond of approximately 10 points (a tenth of a carat), but it looks bigger. Above and below the diamond are 2 lovely (cultured?) golden pearls. It weighs 2.3g and is of unmarked but tested 14k yellow gold, which has been hammered to enhance the “arrow head” look – a great reminder that the Arts and Crafts era overlapped the Wild Wild West! It measures 1/2” x 7/16” x 2-1/2" lo...

Here is a sterling silver buckle with a floral motif set off by plique a jour (translucent) enamel. These buckles with plique are quite unusual. The plique is red, two shades of blue, and green. It is signed with a “JK” above another “JK” in a box. It has marks for London, 1886, and a duty mark. Measuring 3-1/8” x 2-1/4", it weighs 32.7g or 1.16 oz. It is in very good condition. The plique has a few hairlines and some bubbles, which is normal. The red and blue plique is dark, so it’s...

Here is a lovely jewel featuring a circle of 6 ginkgo leaves radiating out from a small diamond, with rows of seed pearls in between. The enamel is lovely, detailed, and subtle. It is both a pendant and a brooch. The bale is on a swivel; it folds down neatly so that it’s invisible when worn as a brooch. Unmarked but tested 14k rose gold, about 33 pearls, and an approximately .02 full cut old diamond, very slightly chipped. It measures 1-1/16” in diameter and weighs 5.7g. The enamel might be ...
