Here is a pretty ring, composed of 7 amethysts, birthstone for February (and in legend, thought to guard against poison) and on either side of the cluster, a bezel-set accent diamond and one tiny half seed pearl. The ring is approximately size 6.5, and would be easy to re-size. It is marked 10K and signed “ECI”. In excellent condition, with just a bit of patina. The gold is yellow, despite looking rosy in the photos. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. We ...

A charming little pin. The fleur d'lis is a stylized lily or iris that was much used in heraldry and as a symbol of royalty (among others) since ancient times. This enchanting little pin is silver pavé-set with turquoise cabochons and is so very Victorian in style. It dates from 1870-1880.

Here is a pretty spoon by the well-known Unger Brothers, signed with their maker’s mark and hallmark, and “COPYRIGHT 1904”. Here is a Victorian brooch with cross, anchor, and heart, the symbols for faith, hope and charity, respectively. It has nice detail work in the metal. Unmarked, but it is made of a layer of gold on top of what looks like copper. The center of the heart is set with a seed pearl, possibly faux, and the cross is set with 11 tiny turquoise-colored cabs – they are too tiny for a definite ID. It measures 1-3/16 x 7/8". The gold shows wear here and there, and it has a nice patina. Overall it is in ve...

Here is a pretty Victorian ring with scroll work on the shank. The center decoration is a horizontal row of seed pearls, with two red stones to the north and south. One stone is badly chipped, and both are abraded. One of them might be a doublet, but otherwise we don’t know what they are, because of the abrasions, so assume “paste” (glass). It is stamped 10K, and is approximately size 8. It could be sized. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description so please examine them carefully...

Here is a brush made by the well-known Gorham Manufacturing Company. The design looks like the top of an antique steamer chest, with a strapping and stud motif – very Steampunk. The top is monogrammed with a fancy "R". It has the Gorham marks, as well as “1857 C”, “Sterling,” and the scissors mark for 1907. It measures 6” x 1-3/4" across the top, and is in very good condition. Photo note: the bristles are an ivory color, but don’t show up that way in the photos. The photos are pa...

Here is a beautiful sash buckle, designed for Tiffany by the well-known George Shiebler. The marks are: “Tiffany & Co,” the winged S for Shiebler, “Sterling,” and “4758” (we’re not sure what that means). It is 3” x 2”, with a slight curve to it, and weighs 42.2g/1.49oz. Decorated with a floral motif, it’s classically beautiful. Geo. W. Shiebler & Co. was in business under that name from 1876 until almost 1915. The buckle came in a Tiffany fabric bag, which is probably origin...

This Edwardian/Art Nouveau necklace would be perfect for a bride … or anyone, really, at any time! It measures 1-1/4” at the widest point, and from the top-most diamond to the bottom of the dropper it is 2-1/4”. The dropper is a dogtooth pearl, 11/16” long, which has a collar of gold around it, set with 3 diamonds, and swirls of gold holding 4 more little pearls. The “wow” factor is terrific! The main section features 3 more tiny diamonds and 50+ seed pearls. At the top the gold form...

Here is a stick pin made in the shape of an arrow head. This gorgeous piece features a sparkly cognac-colored diamond of approximately 10 points (a tenth of a carat), but it looks bigger. Above and below the diamond are 2 lovely (cultured?) golden-hued pearls. It weighs 2.3g and is of unmarked but tested 14k yellow gold, which has been hammered to enhance the “arrow head” look – a great reminder that the Arts and Crafts era overlapped the Wild Wild West! It measures 1/2” x 7/16” x 2-1/...

This beautiful ethnic Turkomann ring is silver, and is set with a carved lapis lazuli. The lapis is surrounded by an intricate enameled border. It is 3/4" across the top, and is a size 8 1/2. The age uncertain, but it definitely predates 1980. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a good article on ethnic Turkmen jewelry. Rather than plagiarize, I'm including the link. :-) https://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/turk/hd_tu

This beautiful piece is made from emerald-green glass and gold-toned metal. It is unmarked, but we were told by a glass specialist that it is from England. It’s approximately 5” tall and 2-3/8” across the bottom. The gold-toned lid has cut-outs in the shape of stars – so charming! It is in excellent condition, and circa 1900. The photos are part of the description, so please examine them carefully. Thanks! We do lay-away. Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

The coin tests as silver, most likely sterling (it can be hard to tell). On one side is the face of Friedrich (presumably) and his wife, a Maltese cross, and the words “FRIEDRICH * I * 1701 * WILHELM * II * 1901”, on the other side is an eagle with a crown above, and “DEUTSCHES REICH 1901 ZWEI MARK”. The rest is white metal. The swivel clasp has a mark, which looks like a plow. We haven’t been able to track it down. The coin and split ring weigh approximately .40oz, and the whole thing...
