Here is a pair of 10kt yellow gold cuff links sporting an ivy motif – a favorite of ours! Ivy is symbolic of marriage and friendship. The decorated ends measure ¾” x ½”, and the total weight is 3.2g. Unmarked, they test at 10k, and we believe them to be from the Art Nouveau period. In excellent condition, and really sweet. The photos are part of the description so please examine them carefully. Thanks! We do lay-away. Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

A bit of history for your lapel! During the Victorian era, every young gentleman had to make his Grand Tour, picking up souvenirs along the way. Lava cameos (actually made from a very fine-textured limestone) made into jewelry were highly sought after. This Victorian lava cameo is mounted in a 14 k gold stickpin. The cameo and mounting are 3/8" in height; overall length of the pin is 2 5/8". A clutch will be supplied with the pin.

Here is a pretty lady, made of unmarked but tested 18k yellow gold. Spangled with 8 tiny diamonds (the birthstone for April), and with her hair swept up into a bun with whispy tendrils of hair around her ears, she is charming! She measures 1” x 1”, and weighs 2.5g. The gold is a little worn at the high points, and we had the jump ring strengthened, as it was worn very thin – someone clearly loved this piece a lot! On the back, it looks as though someone made a small groove for testing the ...

Jewelry pavé set with turquoise is classically Victorian style. This pin is silver, pavé set with cabochon turquoises. It is small in size but hits on three of the most popular designs: bow, heart, and flowers. The bow is flanked by turquoise-set flowers and suspends a heart set with 13 more turquoises. The heart is articulated to move as the wearer moves. 1" X 1 1/4". Circa 1870-1880.

Here is a pretty brush with repousse decorations of Art Nouveau lilies on the top, and fancy swirls on the handle. It measures 5-3/4” x 3". It is stamped Sterling, and there are other, illegible, marks. There is a little bit of damage to the silver at the top of the brush, which is exaggerated by the photos. The handle has an undecorated area on each side, ready for your monogram should you want one. On one side this area has some small dings to it. On the other side the photos show camera re...

Here is a pin that we just love! The colors are so pretty, and the leafy design is so very Arts & Crafts. It consists of a berry and leaf motif, highlighted by a central cushion-cut cabochon blue chalcedony (thought to bring good luck), with a round green aventurine cabochon on either side. Measuring 1-1/4” x 3/8", it is unmarked but tests as silver. It is in excellent condition, although the pin is a little bent (pretty typical for these old pieces). The pin stem assembly may be a replacement...

This plique a jour pendant is centered with an oval opal and accented with eight colorless brilliants and a fresh water pearl dropper. The translucent enamel is an unusual and lovely blue in color. Plique a jour, that unusual, difficult, and beautiful technique, dates from the 15th century. It was used by Cellini, then revived in the late 1800s in France. The metal frame in this lovely piece is 900 silver, suggesting that the piece is most likely German or Austrian in origin. Circa 1900.

It is 5 1/4" wide and 1 5/8" high and bears these markings: PATENTED JUNE 25, 1901; STERLING; 1564; and the fasces [maker's mark for Kerr]. It is in excellent condition, and the patina of age has been left undisturbed. Circa 1900.

Here is a really pretty stickpin featuring a bright green tourmaline (said to aid in self confidence and compassion). It is surrounded by a gold Nouveau framework, with a rose below. A little white pearl completes it. It is marked 14k, with an illegible maker’s mark. It measures 1/2” x 5/8" and the whole thing is 2-1/2" long. It weighs 2.9g including the gold-filled clutch. This is an amazingly modern-looking Art Nouveau necklace. A total of seven garnets, two round, two oval, two square, and one teardrop, are mounted in 14 k gold. The square and teardrop garnets depend from the round stones and add movement to the design. The central dropper is studded with tiny seed pearls. The necklace is 15”long and the piece is unmarked. It dates from 1900-1920 and is a true antique beauty.

Here is a dramatic brooch featuring two cabochons of round black onyx. This is probably a piece of Victorian mourning jewelry, which frequently used black onyx. It has also been used to defend against negativity – so important in today’s world! Unmarked, but tests as 14 or 15 karat gold. It is centered by a baroque or freshwater pearl, and has two draping chains framing a central dogs-tooth pearl dangle. It is further decorated by swirls and ropes of gold. It measures 1-11/16” x 1-1/4”, ...

Here is a pair of simple yet very pretty earrings, which can be worn with just about anything. The citrines are set in 14k gold and measure about 6mm or 1/8” in diameter. The earrings weigh 1.1g. They are stamped 14k, and have a stylized maker’s mark which could be “MP”; they are also stamped “CZ” for some reason. We have tested the stones and they are definitely citrines. Citrines are the birthstone for November, along with topaz. The photos are part of the description; please exam...

A sassy dragon curled around a large amethyst-colored brilliant (yes, it’s glass) hides the hook that turns this into a watch pin. He has a dark red cabochon eye (probably glass) and a colorless brilliant in his mouth. It is unmarked and is 1” by ¾” in size. The pin is vermeil (gold over sterling). It has a round hinge and eared clasp, suggesting an age of late 1800s or early 1900s.

Enameled bows on each side and a fresh water pearl dropper finish the design. Here is a pretty and nicely detailed pin, probably depicting St. Catherine, patroness of young maidens and female scholars. There is a “Catherine wheel” in the background (but it could also be a spinning wheel or a ship's wheel – so you can make up your own mind!), and a flower in the foreground. Her clothing looks very Renaissance era to us. Marked “SILVER” on the C-clasp, with an illegible maker’s mark, the metal tests as sterling, and she’s a dainty 7/8” in diameter. 2.5g. In ...

Here is a lovely pair of white gold-fronted double cuff links – they could have been worn by The Great Gatsby himself! Each end is marked BELAIS 14k W.G. FRONT, and is a rectangle measuring 5/8 x 1/2”, with rigid connectors, hinged at one end. There is space for a monogram, should you wish it. They weigh a total of 5g. Belais Brothers were among the first to develop a formula for white gold (patented in 1917). Many believe they were the finest workers in white gold, and their work is very co...
