Here is a very pretty little pendant, centering a blue sapphire cabochon within an Art Nouveau framework of 14kt yellow gold. Above is a pearl. It is signed by the well known Whiteside & Blank company and stamped 14. When we found it, it was a ring that had been made from a stickpin, so we felt free to remake it into a necklace, since as a ring it wasn’t very practical. It measures just under 1 inch from the top of the bail by 1/2” at the widest point...

The lavalier is made of 9 ct gold and is 1 1/8" by 1 1/2" plus the bale. Circa 1900. The 14 k gold 16" chain is new.

This pretty pin is so Art Nouveau! A lady’s face is surrounded by ribbons and flourishes, some set with seed pearls. It is gold filled, and measures 1-1/8” x 7/8”. Her nose and chin show some wear, and it has a patina consistent with age. The pin stem assembly is mounted in a somewhat unusual fashion – please see photos. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA is included.

A bit of history for your lapel! During the Victorian era, every young gentleman had to make his Grand Tour, picking up souvenirs along the way. Lava cameos (actually made from a very fine-textured limestone) made into jewelry were highly sought after. This Victorian lava cameo is mounted in a 14 k gold stickpin. The cameo and mounting are 3/8" in height; overall length of the pin is 2 5/8". A clutch will be supplied with the pin.

These lovely earrings have nice long dangles – the entire earring measures 1-3/4 long, and the dangle is 1-5/16”. They measure just under 1/2” at the widest point. The dangles have a charming bird and flower motif. They are black enamel and gold plate or gold filled. Damascene jewelry has been made since the Victorian era in Portugal and Spain, and earrings with lever-back findings came into production c. 1900. We aren’t certain about the age, so we’re going with pre-1940...

Here is a very elegant brooch, featuring a large amethyst surrounded by a row of seed pearls, which are in turn surrounded by an enameled key pattern. Marked 14k, and signed by the Riker Bros. of Newark, NJ, it measures 1-3/16” x 13/16” and weighs 8.0g. It is in excellent condition overall, but with a very small ding to the upper left edge, and very tiny pitting in the enamel, which isn’t visible without magnification (or enlarged photos!)...

Here is one of our favorite rings. It features a jade-like green chalcedony center stone, surrounded by red and green Celtic interlace (also called entrelac) enamel. There is more interlace on the shank. Perfect for Christmas, but always very wearable. It is just slightly smaller than size 6, and the top measures 13/16” x 5/8”. Chalcedony was thought by Native Americans to promote harmony and good will. It is stamped 14K, and “KB”...

This bangle bracelet is quintessentially Victorian. It is a hinged bangle made in the crossover style, with an ornamented top. The rectangular box ornament on top is flanked by a half-circle ornament on either side. It is gold filled, with moderately worn plating and dates from the late 1800s or very early 1900s. It is unmarked.

Here is a lovely jewel featuring a circle of 6 ginkgo leaves radiating out from a diamond center, with rows of seed pearls in between. The enamel is lovely, detailed, and subtle. It is both a pendant and a brooch. The bale is on a swivel; it folds down neatly so that it’s invisible when worn as a brooch. Unmarked but tested 14k rose gold, about 33 pearls, and an approximately .02 full cut old diamond, very slightly chipped (not visible without magnification)...

Here is an adorable stick pin! The pin is unmarked, but the gold tests at about 12k. The total length is 2-1/8”, the dog’s face is 1/2” x 7/16”, and it weighs 0.9g. He may be a Weimaraner. They were bred as hunting dogs in the early 1800s in Germany, and were named after the Grand Duke Weimar. In real life they are a silvery color, but this guy is a nice warm gold...

The coin tests as silver, most likely sterling (it can be hard to tell). On one side is the face of Friedrich (presumably) and his wife, a Maltese cross, and the words “FRIEDRICH * I * 1701 * WILHELM * II * 1901”, on the other side is an eagle with a crown above, and “DEUTSCHES REICH 1901 ZWEI MARK”. The rest is white metal. The swivel clasp has a mark, which looks like a plow. We haven’t been able to track it down. The coin and split ring weigh approximately .40oz, and the whole thing...

This beautiful stickpin is made of 14 k white gold and is set with an unidentified colorless gemstone...not diamond or one of the common substitutes for diamond. Not glass or plastic--it's a real stone. Also a real mystery. Whatever it is, it's a perfect complement to the setting. Overall length is 2 3/8" and it dates from the early 1900s.
