She describes it as having “festoons of gold chain in the Edwardian manner, set with peridots, and decorated with shaded satin enamel, c. 1900.” It is unmarked, but tests as 14k gold...

Here is a sash buckle composed of swirling flowers and a flower bud. This is a mixed-metal piece. The silver plate shows some wear - yellow metal shows through at some of the high points. We believe the gold to be about 9kt, and it’s some type of plating. The buckle measures 3 x 2-1/2" and weighs in at 47.5 grams. Unmarked...

Here is a classic Art Nouveau stick pin centered by an amethyst, birthstone for February. Back in the day, amethysts were thought to prevent drunkenness, as well as being a cure for headaches (we sense a theme here). There is a seed pearl above and one below, all mounted in a (marked and tested) 14k “whiplash” framework (the whiplash motif was very popular with Nouveau artists). Measuring 1/2” x 2-1/4" long, it weighs 1.5g. There is an illegible maker’s mark. The pin is curved, but could...

It is unmarked, but we believe it was made in Newark, NJ based on its construction.
