Here is a pretty gypsy ring, made from a rich yellow 18kt gold. The center stone is a diamond, the 2 outer stones are rubies. It has decorative scroll work carving on the shoulders. The hallmarks are for Chester, 1903, and there is a maker’s mark that we can’t decipher. It weighs 4.0g, and is approximately size 5. The shank is a little off round, and it may have been sized at some time, but it is in excellent condition. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

Here is a sterling buckle with a floral motif highlighted with plique a jour (translucent enamel). These buckles with plique are quite unusual. The plique is red, two shades of blue, and green. It is signed with a “JK” above another “JK” in a box. It has marks for London, 1886, and a duty mark. Measuring 3-1/8” x 2-1/4", it weighs 32.7g or 1.16 oz. It’s in quite good condition. The plique has a few hairlines and some bubbles, which is common...

Here is a sweet ring, consisting of a flower made of 6 pearls (1 of which is a replacement), centered by a tiny rose cut diamond. There is a compartment underneath, perhaps for storing a tiny lock of hair, but the glass is gone. The ring tests as a very strong 14k, so it is probably 15k. There is cobalt blue enameling on the shoulders, which we’ve had repaired – this ring was obviously well loved, and it’s still beautiful! Size 6. Early Victorian...

This elegant lady is made from 14k gold – there is a partial mark, so we tested it. Her face is framed by a stylized shell motif, and she has flowers and a diamond in her upswept hair, as well as another diamond nestled in her décolletage. This watch pin or brooch is of hollow construction, and weighs 4.7g. It measures 1” x 1-1/4”. The pin stem assembly is original. Her face is a little worn in the high places, and the back has darkened in a couple places...

Here is a Victorian book chain, 17” long, with two spring rings. Men: use it for your pocket watch, in true Victorian style! Ladies, you can do the same, or use it for a locket or charm or whatever you like! Each link, which looks like a little book – hence the name - has a pattern stamped or carved into it. Some links show some wear consistent with age. It weighs 17.1g and is quite charming! The photos are a part of the description. Please look at them carefully...

Here is a very Victorian ring with pretty scrollwork on the shank. The center decoration is a horizontal row of seed pearls, and two red stones north and south. One stone is badly chipped, and both are abraded. One of them might be a doublet, but otherwise we don’t know what they are. It is stamped 10K, and is approximately a size 8. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description so please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

This extremely cool and very collectable brooch depicts 5 turbaned “blackamoors.” Made from (unmarked, tested) 14k rose gold, and black and white enamel, the details are picked out in gold (their eyes, mouths, collars and turbans). There is a partial hallmark on the pin, and old repair to the pin stem assembly (invisible from the front), and some damage to the black enamel, especially the two outer figures’ noses and the chin of the rightmost figure...

These lovely earrings have nice long dangles – the entire earring measures 1-3/4 long, and the dangle is 1-5/16”. They measure just under 1/2” at the widest point. The dangles have a charming bird and flower motif. They are black enamel and gold plate. I have been told that earrings like this pair were made during the Victorian era in Portugal and Spain, and that they are still being made in those countries today. These look old to me, but in excellent condition. The photos are part of t...

Perfect for a wedding, here is a very pretty starburst pin/necklace, made from 14k gold (marked and tested), set with seed pearls, and with an old European cut diamond in the center. It has a maker’s mark in the shape of a Maltese cross. Measuring 1-1/8”, it weighs 6g. The bail folds down nicely for wearing as a necklace. The 18” chain is gold filled, and not original to the piece. It comes with an antique dark blue velvet box. The photos are part of the description; please examine them c...

Some marriages are made in Heaven, and this is one of them. This brooch is a marriage of three Victorian pieces: the bar pin with six diamonds, the enamel bow, and the heart-shaped enamel slide. The bow and slide must once have been part of the same piece. The pin is 12 k gold, and the bow and slide 18 k. The bar pin is 1 3/4" long. It's absolutely stunning.

This sweet jewel consists of a circle of gold enameled in deep blue, with gold highlights. Through it is tied a 3-looped bow, decorated with tiny seed pearls, as are the bail and drop. There are a few places where the enamel appears to have been applied imperfectly, and a couple very tiny chips, but these very minor flaws are visible only with magnification. It is stamped 15kt gold, but there is a place on the back where it looks as though someone made a repair using rose gold. The pendant measu...
