Here is a sweet garland or festoon necklace composed of seed pearls set in 10 kt gold, with two pearls built into the draping chains, and a pearl dangle. The whole thing measures 14-5/8” (and we have gold necklace extenders if that’s too short). The decorated section measures 1-1/4” x 3/4” including the dangle. It is in excellent condition, but one seed pearl is missing. It’s really hard to tell - we only noticed when examining it under the microscope...

This handsome fellow’s head measures 5/8 x 11/16". He is made from 14kt yellow gold (there are illegible marks, so we tested it). The red eye is too small to identify, so assume glass. It weighs 1.4g and is in excellent condition. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

Here is a stickpin featuring a yummy burnt-orange colored oval carnelian, set in 10kt gold and surrounded by an oval of gold set with 4 seed pearls. It is marked 10kt. The setting measures 13/16” x 1/2", and the whole thing 2-3/8". The pin has a bit of a bend to it toward the top, not visible when it’s worn, otherwise in excellent antique condition. The photos are part of the description. Please look at them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling, and insurance within the USA included.

This ring is one of our absolute favorites – and would make a great engagement ring for a woman who wants something a bit different. The central diamond is approximately 20 points (1/5 of a carat, but looks bigger), set in platinum. The rest of the setting is made of unmarked but tested 14k gold of a lovely rich yellow. There are 4 tiny rubies and 3 tiny demantoid garnets. It’s very hard to identify the 4th green stone, due the size and setting, but it is mostly likely another demantoid...

Here is a cheerful bow brooch, made from blue and turquoise plique a jour with twisted wire work running through it. The colors in the photographs may be deceptive, depending on your computer monitor - the enamel over the wire spirals is turquoise, and the rest is a medium blue. Measuring 1-1/4” x 7/8", it weighs 3.1g. On the back it is marked with “800”, and an illegible (maker’s?) mark; we believe it is Italian. The silver on the front has a gold wash...

This Edwardian/Art Nouveau necklace would be perfect as a Valentine’s Day gift, for bride … or anyone else, really. Both the size and the pearl and diamond dangle make it unusual. It measures 1-1/4” at the widest point, and from the top-most diamond to the bottom of the dropper it is 2-1/4”...

Although this jewel is English, it reflects the aesthetics of fin de siècle Russia, with its pink topazes and demantoid garnets. The fairly large topazes are surrounded by swirls of seed-pearl-set gold, and set off by 4 bright green demantoid garnets, 2 of which are set into the fine chains which connect the top section to the bottom; of the other 2, the top one is a modified pear shape, the other oval. It measures 2” long by 1-1/8” across at the widest point, and weighs 5.4g...

This lovely and detailed Titanic-era garland necklace features a heart with wings, symbolic of love and openness. The heart has green enamel with orange highlights, and it and the wings are set with seed pearls. Above are gold curlicues, and below is a (tested) diamond dropper. It’s got a faint 10k mark on the back, but tests as 14k. The spring ring is marked Gold Filled, but the chain tests for 14k, so the spring ring is most likely a replacement...

This gorgeous necklace features 13 Madeira citrines (birthstone for November; they are said to bring joy and optimism into one’s life) – 3 clusters of 3 each, and 4 set singly. The central cluster has a pearl dangle. The rose gold is marked 9ct on the clasp, but it tests as a weak 10k. No other marks. Wearable length is 18-3/4”. Excellent condition. The clasp is a little fussy, but could easily be replaced. Circa 1910 or earlier...

Ruby is the birthstone for July, and symbolizes love, devotion, and immortality. Pearls symbolize purity and harmony. What a great combination for these pretty earrings! They test as 10kt gold, although they are marked 375 for 9 karat gold. The hanging flower basket motif is quite charming! They contain a total of 16 rubies and 18 seed pearls. The total length is 1-7/8”, and together they weight 4.3g. As usual with older earrings, it’s possible that the wires are replacements...

Here is a lovely pendant/pin with a stylized motif of green to yellow enamel in a floral pattern reminiscent of the French fleur-de-lis. It is centered by a small diamond (approx. 5 points), and has a pearl-set modified starburst accenting the enameled “petals.” In 14k rose gold, it measures 1” in diameter at the widest point. The bale folds down neatly when it’s worn as a brooch. We have had the enamel touched up a bit at the edges, so it is now in excellent condition. Chain not include...

We think this guy is just adorable! The pin is unmarked, but the gold tests at about 12k. The total length is 2-1/8”, the dog’s face is 1-1/2” x 7/16”, and it weighs 0.9g. He may be a Weimaraner. They were bred as hunting dogs in the early 1800s in Germany, and were named after the Grand Duke Weimar. In real life they are a silvery color, but this guy is a nice warm gold. Wikipedia tells us “The Weimaraner is loyal and loving to his family, an incredible hunter, and a fearless guardian...

We think this garland necklace is just stunning. It’s also rather unusual. The rigid cross piece has a chain running above it, through loops over 5 oval amethysts with excellent color, each set into an inverted heart-shaped framework, and separated from the next by a tiny pearl. Set below each amethyst is a seed pearl, and below the framework are draping chains, the central 5 each having a freshwater pearl dangle. At each end of the bar is an additional little round amethyst, for a total of 7....

This brooch combines the styles of Art Nouveau and Edwardian jewelry, and is remarkably similar to a couple of pieces by Whiteside & Blank that we’ve seen; however it is unsigned (not unusual for the time). The pin consists of a framework enameled in very pale green, in a formal Edwardian key pattern. In the middle is a sprig of leaves with a pearl berry; the stem twines around the framework in back, in a Nouveau fashion. There are 3 additional pearls set on the frame. It is marked (and tested...

Here is a small, charming gold-filled Victorian or Edwardian fretwork pin. It measures 15/16” x 7/8”. Somewhat worn in places, but still very pretty. Oddly, the watch hanger tests as 10k. Signed SIMMONS and RFS & Co (for the R.F. Simmons Co. of Attleboro, MA). Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Here is a lovely watch pin made of marked and tested 14k gold, many seed pearls, and 2 accent diamonds. It has a leaves-and-vine motif, with 2 pretty little flowers with heart-shaped petals, and it’s just beautiful. It measures 1-1/8 x 1-1/4" and weighs in at 6.9g. One seed pearl was missing, so we had it replaced. The pin stem assembly is original. It could be cleaned a little, but it looks great as is. In excellent condition, and circa 1910. This beautiful jewel sports 2 large and lovely peridots. The central stone is cushion cut, and the dangle is pear-shaped. It is decorated with a total of 28 seed pearls of colors that vary a little, set into the leaves & vine-like gold ribbons. It is marked 14k on 1 leaf and the spring ring. In excellent condition. The decorative panels measure 3-1/2" x 1", and the whole thing measures 15-1/4" total (we have gold necklace extenders available if you need more length). Circa 1910, right around the...

What a sweet necklace! Pansies have been equated with thoughtfulness, free thinking, and deep contemplation. Thus Shakespeare’s Ophelia said "There's pansies, that's for thoughts." This little pansy is made from (tested) 10k gold, with a modern-looking 14k bale, probably a later addition. The enamel shades from dark yellow through to white, with some dark details, and a (cultured?) pearl center. It measures 1/2” x 1/2”, and the chain is 16’-1/2” and is marked 14k. Together they weigh 1...
