This beautiful sterling silver case was originally meant for cigarettes but could just as easily hold business cards or ???. It is lavishly engraved with an all-over swirling pattern and bears the initials FC in script. The case is 3 1/4" x 2 3/4". It is hallmarked for Birmingham, England, sterling silver, and 1927-28. The maker's mark is FHA & Co.

A lovely Art Nouveau sterling clothes brush, 5 1/2" X 3/4". It is marked F & B for the Theo. W. Foster & Bro. Company of Providence RI. The company was incorporated under that name in 1898 and was among the largest manufacturers of jewelry & sterling silver vanity goods in the Art Nouveau period. Circa 1900-1910.

Here is a pretty little crystal and sterling silver perfume bottle with a partial mark for Sterling (it also tests as sterling), and another partial mark: “…AXCO” for TAXCO. This lovely sterling brush has a marquise-shaped porcelain insert with a blue and white Dutch windmill scene. It was manufactured by the Alvin Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island. This company, currently a division of Gorham, was founded in 1886 and was known for its sterling flatware, hollow ware, toilet ware, and novelties. The brush bears two marks for the company along with STERLING, 250 C, and Pat app for Pre 1920
