This gorgeous necklace features 13 Madeira citrines (birthstone for November; they are said to bring joy and optimism into one’s life) – 3 clusters of 3 each, and 4 set singly. The central cluster has a pearl dangle. The rose gold is marked 9ct on the clasp, but it tests as a weak 10k. No other marks. Wearable length is 18-3/4”. Excellent condition. The clasp is a little fussy, but could easily be replaced. Circa 1910 or earlier. The photos are part of the description; please examine them ...

Here is a pair of quite unusual cuff links! We have only seen one other pair with photos, and those were in base metal. Each has a photograph of an elegant lady in a white high-necked blouse with upswept hair. These were clearly worn a lot, based on the patina, but they still look great. The 10k marks are on the back of the fronts only, not on the “torpedo” ends, and we don’t like to test torpedoes, so can’t promise that they are also 10k, but they look like they are. The fronts measure ...

This pretty antique pin is so Art Nouveau! A lady’s face is surrounded by ribbons and flourishes, some set with seed pearls. It is gold filled, and measures 1-1/8” x 7/8”. Her nose and chin show some wear, and the metal could use brightening up a bit. The pin stem assembly is mounted in a somewhat unusual fashion – please see photos. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA is included.

Ruby is the birthstone for July, and symbolizes devotion, love, and immortality. Pearls symbolize purity and harmony. What a great combination for these pretty earrings! They test as 10kt gold, although they are marked 375 for 9kt. The hanging flower basket motif is quite charming! They contain a total of 16 rubies and 18 seed pearls. The total length is 1-7/8”, and together they weight 4.3g. As usual with older earrings, it’s possible that the wires are replacements. In excellent conditio...

These collar tips feature a Nouveau-style design of a lady in profile with flowers in her hair. She looks very serene. The ladies themselves are silver plated, and the mounts are made out of white metal. They’re probably fairly contemporary, and in good used condition. Measuring 1-3/8” x 1-1/8”, they weigh 18.5g. The photos are part of the description; please examine carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

Here is a fascinating ring consisting of strands of rose gold tied in a knot, and studded with gold balls. One ball is missing, which makes it pleasantly asymmetrical (it took us a while to realize that it wasn’t made that way!). The decorated area measures 5/8 x 1/2” and the shank measures 3/16”. The ring has a maker’s mark (“J.M”), the anchor for Birmingham, the date mark for 1903-4, “9”, and “375”, however it tests as 10k. It’s approximately size 7, and weighs 5.2g. In p...

Here is a fun locket made from white metal. It is chased on the front in a stylized pattern, and plain on the back. The inside has some scratches, we don’t know why. The photo rings and celluloid are not present. It measures 1-1/4” x 7/8" and the cool paperclip chain is a bit over 22". The back has a few dark marks which might clean up. Generally a handsome Victorian (or possibly Edwardian) jewel. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handli...

This striking jewel tests as at least 14k. It is set with what we believe is an iolite, and 4 pear-shaped purple garnets, all foiled, all set within an Etruscan Revival motif of coiling decorated gold ropes and leaves, with two gold dangling chains. The brooch measures 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 3/4" deep and weighs 8.7g. With the chains, the whole piece measure 2-1/2” long. The pin stem assembly appears to be all original. There is one tiny hole in the gold, which is not visible from the front, otherwis...

These 10kt yellow gold cuff links sport an ivy motif – one of our favorites! Ivy is symbolic of growth, marriage, and friendship. The decorated ends measure ¾” x ½”, and they weigh 3.2g. Unmarked, they test at 10k, and we believe them to be from the Art Nouveau period. In excellent condition, and really lovely. The photos are part of the description so please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

Here is a Victorian pin with cross, anchor, and heart, the symbols for faith, hope and charity. It has nice detail work in the metal. Unmarked, but it seems to be made of a layer of gold on top of a layer of copper (we’re sure about the gold). The center of the heart is set with a (faux?) seed pearl, and the cross is set with 11 tiny turquoise-colored cabs – they are too tiny for a definite ID. It measures 1-3/16 x 7/8". The gold shows wear here and there, and it has a nice age patina, but o...

Truly fit for a museum, this rare and wonderful Egyptian Revival pin has a portrait painted on porcelain. It is mounted in 800 silver and surrounded by 16 coral beads on wire. There have been some repairs [not visible from the front] as is so common in jewelry repaired in the 19th century. 1 1/4" diameter. Circa 1875.

We love this pin! The colors are so pretty, and the leafy design is so very Arts & Crafts. It consists of a berry and leaf motif, highlighted by a central cushion-cut blue chalcedony (thought to bring good luck), with a circular green aventurine on either side. Measuring 1-1/4” x 3/8", it is unmarked but tests as silver. It is in excellent condition, although the pin is a little bent. The pin stem assembly may be a replacement, but if so, it’s quite an old repair. Circa 1900. The photos are ...

This pretty and very Victorian brooch consists of a navette-shaped border of rose gold surrounding an oval of yellow gold which highlights a flower and two leaves of rose gold. It tests as 10k, and is signed “A.J.C”. Measuring 1-3/4” x 3/8”, it weighs 3.2g. In overall good condition, but it could use some cleaning up. This pin came out of an important household in Newport, RI as a gift, circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handl...

Here is a lovely 15k gold ring, made in Birmingham, England. There are 4 purplish garnets across the top, in excellent condition, highlighted by 6 seed pearls. Garnets (January birthstone) are known as the “stones of love and devotion,” and are also thought to bring balance to life. The setting is closed backed, and inside the engraved shank it is fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham, “15” and “625” for 15k gold, and the X for 1872-1873. It has been re-sized on either side...

This dramatic brooch features two round black onyxes. Onyx has been used to defend against negativity – crucial in today’s world! Unmarked, but tests as 14 or 15 karat gold. It is centered by a baroque or freshwater pearl, and has two draping chains to highlight a central dogs-tooth pearl dangle. Further decorated by swirls and ropes of gold. It measures 1-11/16” x 1-1/4”, and the chains and dangle add another inch, making it 2-1/4” long in total. It is in excellent condition. The catc...
