This pretty antique pin is so Art Nouveau! A lady’s face is surrounded by ribbons and flourishes, some set with seed pearls. It is gold filled, and measures 1-1/8” x 7/8”. Her nose and chin show some wear, and the metal could use brightening up a bit. The pin stem assembly is mounted in a somewhat unusual fashion – please see photos. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA is included.

Here is a sweet ring, consisting of a flower made of 6 pearls (1 of which is a replacement), centered by a tiny rose cut diamond. There is a compartment underneath, perhaps for storing a tiny lock of hair, but the glass is gone. The ring tests as a very strong 14k, so it is probably 15k. There is cobalt blue enameling on the shoulders, which we’ve had repaired – this ring was obviously well loved, and it’s still beautiful! Size 6. Early Victorian. The photos are part of the description; pl...

This Edwardian/Art Nouveau necklace would be perfect as a Valentine’s Day gift, for bride … or anyone else, really. Both the size and the pearl and diamond dangle make it unusual. It measures 1-1/4” at the widest point, and from the top-most diamond to the bottom of the dropper it is 2-1/4”. The dropper is a dogtooth pearl, 11/16” long, which has a collar of gold around it, set with 3 tiny diamonds, and swirls of gold holding 4 more little pearls! Wow! The main section features 3 more ...

Weird yet wonderful, and SO Victorian! Here is a grooming chatelaine from the 1800s. It has a Chinese fish motif at the top, and dangling from that are 3 implements: a tweezers, an ear-cleaning device, and a third implement for cleaning nails. (We saw a similar chatelaine on eBay that was advertised as a device for opium users, but we don’t think so!) It is unmarked but tests positive for silver, and with a patina consistent with age. It is lacking a belt hook, but is in excellent antique con...

These 10kt yellow gold cuff links sport an ivy motif – one of our favorites! Ivy is symbolic of growth, marriage, and friendship. The decorated ends measure ¾” x ½”, and they weigh 3.2g. Unmarked, they test at 10k, and we believe them to be from the Art Nouveau period. In excellent condition, and really lovely. The photos are part of the description so please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

According to some, this is St. Catherine, patroness of young maidens and female scholars. There is a (“Catherine”?) wheel in the background (it could also be a spinning wheel or a ship's wheel), and a flower in the foreground. Her clothing looks very Renaissance to us. Marked “SILVER” on the C-clasp, with an illegible maker’s mark, the metal tests as sterling, and she’s a dainty 7/8” in diameter. 2.5g. In excellent condition, and circa 1850. The photos are part of the description;...

These gorgeous cuff links are composed of slightly oval rock crystals carved with a seashell-like pattern, intersected by rows of calibre-cut blue sapphires. 18k (tested) white gold backs and links are marked with what appears to be European hallmarks – they are too blurry to decipher beyond that. The rock crystals measure 5/8” x 9/16”, and together they weigh 7.2g. The photos are part of the description; please examine carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA incl...

This terrific brush by Gorham Manufacturing Company is meant to look like the top of an old chest, with a strapping and stud motif – very Steampunk. The top is monogrammed with a fancy "R". It has the Gorham marks, as well as “1857 C”, “Sterling,” and the scissors mark for 1907. It measures 6” x 1 -3/4" across the top, and is in very good condition. Photo note: the color of the bristles is more of an ivory than they appear to be. The photos are part of the description; please examin...

This is a lovely French lavalier, measuring 1-1/8” (not including the jump ring) by 11/16”. It features 3 rose cut diamonds and 3 (cultured?) pearls. Marked only “DEPOSE” (translates roughly as “patented”), it tests as 18k. The stones are set in white metal, but it’s hard to tell what kind – most likely either gold or platinum. 2.1g. We believe this used to be part of a larger piece, however, the transformation was done very skillfully, and it is in overall very good condition. T...

We love this necklace! It features a central (tested) silver panel with a big labradorite cab, 3/4” x 9/16”. The whole panel with dangles measures 13/16” x 1-7/8”. The dangles are set with more labradorite cabs on chains. The wearable length is 24”, and there are 20” worth of labradorite beads, most having the distinctive blue flash for which that stone is known. The clasp has a very pretty flower and leaf design, and it’s stamped 925 on the back. The beads are on knotted string, a...

Here is a lovely 15kt yellow gold double-cluster ring: a cluster of pearls centered by a ruby, and one of rubies centered by a diamond. Ruby is the birthstone for July. The ring is hallmarked for Birmingham, England and 15 karat gold, there is a date mark for 1877, and also a maker’s mark for “P&E”. It is a size 7-1/2. One of the pearls may be a replacement, and one prong is missing. Someone used tiny amounts of glue (barely noticeable) on the pearls, though, so they are stable. A very att...

Simple, classic, and lovely, this stick pin features an oval of pale pink “angel skin” coral, measuring 9/16” x 3/8”. The whole thing is 2-7/8” long. Unmarked, it tests as 14k gold. The setting has a waving edge, and cut outs to reveal the coral along the sides. Pink coral is said to restore harmony to the heart. It weighs 3.0g. The pin is a little bent, otherwise in excellent condition and circa 1910. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! Shi...

The popularity of all things Italian amounted to mania in the Victorian England of 1860-1880. Especially favored were objects of Etruscan design. This locket is gold fill, decorated with an Etruscan Revival motif punctuated with a pearl. The locket is 1 ½" long and is unmarked.

Here is an interesting pair of identical pins from the Art Nouveau era. They feature a woman’s face flanked by flowers; their hair is greenish! I have been unable to determine what the metal is, so assume base metal. They measure 1-1/4” x 1/2”. The pin stem assemblies are old, but they may be replacements. Circa 1900. Here is a very pretty ring with a triangular or trilliant cut synthetic alexandrite and 2 full-cut diamond accent stones. The stone is a steel blue in daylight, and a pretty purple in incandescent light, with teal blue flashes; it measures 1/4” per side. Size 7-3/4, and easily sized. It is marked 10k and is in excellent condition – we believe it was never worn. Circa 2000. The photos are part of the description; please examine carefully. Thanks! This classy brooch frames a large amethyst with a row of seed pearls, surrounded by an enameled key pattern. Marked 14k, and signed by the Riker Bros. of Newark, NJ, it measures 1-3/16” x 13/16” and weighs 8.0g. It is in excellent condition overall, but with a very small ding to the upper left edge, and very tiny pitting in the enamel, which isn’t visible without magnification (or enlarged photos!). The rest of the chain consists of a further 12 fancy links included in the chain. Each fancy link measures 7/16”, and each rose is 3/4” x 5/8”. It weighs 4.2 g.
