Beautiful, antique, and signed by a famous maker--can it get any better? This lovely turn-of-the-century pendant is centered with a 12 x 30 mm oval citrine surrounded by marcasites, with pale blue enameled bows on the sides and enameled ribbons top and bottom. The dropper is a fresh water pearl. There is very minor enamel damage on left side. The metal is 935 silver [higher silver content than sterling) and the pendant is signed with the dragonfly mark for Mayle & Meyer. It dates from 1900-30. The chain is sterling. The firm of Mayle & Meyer was probably located in Pforzheim and made beautiful Art Nouveau, Jugenstil, and Art Deco jewelry.
