This wonderful Georgian ring could have been worn by one of Jane Austen’s more upper-crust characters! It features a rose-cut diamond (pointed top instead of flat), set in 14kt gold with decorations in black enamel on the shank, which are still in excellent condition. Diamond is the birthstone for April. The ring is approximately a size 5. It isn’t possible to estimate the weight of set rose cut diamonds; it is in the I range for clarity – normal for its era. Unmarked, it is pre-1836 (Miss Austen was alive from 1775 – 1817). It is just gorgeous. It shows signs of solder around the prongs and on the back, either from old repairs or it’s just possibly a “marriage” of 2 elements. It’s very difficult to tell. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully. Thanks! We do lay-away. Shipping, handling, and insurance within the USA included.
